  16-core SPARC T5 CMT Processor with glueless 1-hop scaling to 8-sockets

  • T5 is 28nm
  • CMT, 16 core and each with 8 threads
  • Support upto 8 sockets gluelessm1-hop  server T5-8 and 4 socket T5-4
  • may have hardware accelerators into its chips to speed up its own software.
    • These will include,
      • memory versioning,
      • in-memory columnar database acceleration,
      • hardware decompression and
      • other such accelerators.
